Adopt a Rubber Duck
Once you adopt a rubber duck you will be matched by number with your rubber duck adoptee. The numbers will be randomly assigned to each adopted duck and printed on the rubber duck for race day.

Official Rules and Regulations of the Rubber Duck Race at the Lake.

The race will take place at in Cornelius, NC, on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at approximately 10 am local time. The race will be filmed and uploaded on our website at www.floatitforward.com. All ducks will be provided by Float it Forward (the event organizer) and will remain the property of Float it Forward.

No less than 50 ducks will be entered in the race.

In the case of inclement weather, acts of God, or other circumstances, the event organizer reserves the right to postpone or reschedule the race, or determine winners by a random drawing, in its sole discretion.

Entry adoption papers must be completely filled out and received by Float it Forward prior to the start of the race.

Winners must be 18 years of age or older and must prove eligibility.

Any and all taxes, tags, titles and similar fees are the sole responsibility of the winner. Winner must provide tax identification number to Float it Forward for income-reporting purposes.

By entering, entrants release Float it Forward and The Devoted Float, and their respective officers, staff, directors and other related entities from any and all liability with respect to participation and prizes.

Donations for duck adoptions are tax-deductible contributions.

This event is subject to all federal, state and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited by law.

Prize winners will be announced online April 13, 2024, following the conclusion of the race. Winners will, when necessary, also be notified by United States mail or by telephone. If winner does not claim his/her prize from Float it Forward within 30 days after April 13, 2024, Float it Forward will select a winner through a random drawing of entry tickets. All prizes will be awarded.

All proceeds will benefit the Float it Forward national awareness campaign and the water learning center at Blythe Landing in North Carolina.
