Adopt-A-SafeTree Life Jacket Hub Program

​In furtherance of our growing advocacy campaign for the use of flotation when in or near water, Float it Forward has established the Adopt-a-SafeTree Life Jacket Hub Program. This program partners with civic and community groups, including schools, religious, professional and social organizations, as well as individuals and families to maintain our SafeTree Life Jacket Hubs all over the country.

The Float it Forward Adopt-a-SafeTree Life Jacket Hub Program provides businesses, organizations and individuals the opportunity to sponsor a SafeTree Life Jacket Hub - a life jacket station near boating and swimming areas that provides communities the free use of life jackets on a loaner basis.   Swimmers and boaters are encouraged to grab a life jacket and return to the hub when done. 

Participants' responsibilities include:

1.Obtaining any approvals necessary for the placement of the SafeTree Life Jacket Hub, including, without limitation, governments/agencies with jurisdiction, property owners, businesses, and municipalities.

2. Purchase a SafeTree Life Jacket Hub, stock and maintain a minimum of 12 USCG approved life jackets in a variety of adult, children and infant sizes.

3. Inspecting the life jackets to make sure each life jacket is serviceable and undamaged. Any life jacket that is damaged in any way must be removed from the SafeTree Life Jacket Hub and discarded.

4. Ensuring that the SafeTree Life Jacket Hub and surrounding area is kept in a neat and organized manner.

5. Send bi-monthly photos of the installed SafeTree Life Jacket Hub to info@thedevotedfloat.com.

In return for sponsoring a SafeTree Life Jacket Hub, an acknowledgement panel identifying the sponsor is attached to an Adopt-A-SafeTree Life Jacket Hub Program sign.

Float it Forwards asks volunteer groups to commit at least two years to maintaining and stocking the SafeTree Life Jacket Hub.
